2015 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES:

Jay Redan graduated from PHS in 1978.During his time as a Redskin he was an excellent student and citizen, earning NHS status and volunteering for the Rockaway Neck First AidSquad with his sister Sharon. Jay then attended Muhlenberg College, graduating Cum Laude, before moving onto UMDNJ Medical School where he also graduated with honors. He has achieved numerous honors and distinctions in the medical field including multiple Patients' Choice Awards, several publications, and the distinction of being the 22nd President of the society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Jay has also traveled extensively around the world to teach his surgical techniques to doctors in other countries. Jay served his country in the US Army Reserve and is a veteran of Desert Storm, retiring with the rank of Major in 1999. Jay's Parsippany ties are strong: his uncle Aaron was in PHS's first graduating class in 1959, and his nieces Lauren graduated in2013 and Michelle will receive her diploma this year.

The 1965 PHS Redskins Baseball team
went 23-3 and has long been regarded by many in the NJ coaches’ fraternity as one of the best NJ high school baseball teams of all time. They won the Jersey Hills Conference Championship, the Group 3 Championship and the Greater Newark Tournament Championship (considered at the time to be the true “undisputed” state championship). This team included future major league star Richie Zisk, as well as professional contract recipients Larry Pyle and Harold Burke. In addition, Bobby Quinn, a men’s fast-pitch Hall of Famer and Pan-Am Games medal winner, was also a starter on the squad. They were coached by the legendary Jack Mott, a 1999 PHS Hall of Fame inductee.

Cavan Londergan graduated from PHS in1995. As a Redskin, he participated in wrestling and football, continuing his football career at William Paterson. He began teaching at Troy Hills School in 2001 and later moved to Lake Parsippany as a counselor in 2011. He was recognized as the Parsippany Rotary Educator of the Year in 2009 for his devotion to his students. Cavan has committed himself to making a difference in the lives of Parsippany youth. In addition to coaching Little League Baseball and PAL Football,he currently serves as the Coordinator of the Flag Football Program. Inan effort to provide support for local children fighting illnesses, he founded the Bizzie Bowl, a flag football tournament/fund raiser; over the last six years it has raised over $25,000 for autism awareness and for families in need. Cavan has also co-founded Games With Friends, a sports program for special-needs children at the PAL building, and helped to organize a pancake breakfast for the American Red Cross.

Jane Puccio taught History and English at PHS for 38 wonderful years beginning in 1969. Boasting a love of history and a passion for teaching, she was devoted to her students and to improving her craft. Over the years, Jane taught US History, Law & Society, and co-taught IPLE (Institute of Political & Legal Education) with her colleagues Ron Foreso and Robert Bednarcik. Needless to say, she was loved by her students for her genuine concern for them and her ability to make the subject matter interesting and relatable.Jane also served as advisor of the Mock Trial team and Model Congress. Her love of education and government led her to serve on many district-wide committees and as a head rep for PTHEA where she applied her talents to promoting positive labor relations. Speaking to her colleagues and students, Jane is described as a life-long learner, compassionate, enthusiastic, intellectual, professional, dedicated, challenging, fair, invested, genuine and beautiful (Jane met her husband while teaching at PHS!).
