iPad Responsibilities

  • Bring your iPad everyday. 

  • Charge your iPad (replacing a broken charger is your responsibility).

  • Keep a Case on it at all times.

  • Use the technology responsibly,

    • Do not take photos, video, audio of anyone without their permission

    • Do not post information about anyone without their permission.

  • Back up your iPad and apps using icloud. Also, make sure the backup is turned on in your individual app's settings.

  • Download your software updates.

What if my iPad doesn't charge properly?

The media specialists will check to see if the problem is with your iPad or your charger. If your charger is broken, you are responsible for purchasing new one. If your iPad battery is the issue we will schedule it for repair.

What do I do if my screen cracked?

You must come to the Media Center in person with your iPad to fill out a repair form. Make sure you have with you the following: iPad lock code Apple ID Apple password "Find My iPad" is turned off Technology Services will issue you a temporary replacement iPad.

What if I cannot connect to the Internet?

When you are in the school building, you should be connected to the "PTHSD" network. If you cannot connect do the following: Make sure the date/time is correct in your "settings." Make sure you have the latest software update. Do a "hard reset" by holding down the home button and the on/off button until you see the apple icon on your screen. Reset your network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset> Reset Network Settings. If you still cannot connect, come see the Media Specialists.

What if my iPad isn't downloading apps?

Check the following: Make sure you are connected to the Internet. Make sure you have the latest software update. Check that the date/time on your iPad is correct in your "settings." 

Make sure you have accepted the VPP invitation in Self Service and check that you are logged in with the same Apple ID you used to initially accept the district apps. 

If you still cannot get your iPad to work properly, please bring it to the Media Center and we will assist you.
