The Freshman Year
A letter to the parents of Freshman
The purpose of the team approach is to allow teachers to better meet the needs of our freshmen students. Teaming is built upon key elements such as standardized expectations, learning skills development, classroom leadership, technology use, and parent/teacher communication. The freshman teachers meet daily, twice each week with the 9th grade counselor and administrator. This planning time is sometimes used to meet with students and to conference with parents.
If you would like to meet with your child’s teachers please contact
9th grade counselor, at x 2424.
The following teachers make up the 9th grade team.
Ninth Grade Counselor - Fred Douglas
Administrator - Lisa Garafalo
Your child’s teachers request that you contact them via email.
Email addresses are the teachers’ first initial of the first name followed by their
last name @pthsd.net
