Grading Policies

The following expectations are designed toensure student safety and provide the security of personal belongings,as well as enabling the Physical Education Department to provide themaximum time for activities in class. Students who do not meet thefollowing expectations are subject to grade reductions and/ or otherappropriate disciplinary actions.

Students have all been assigned a locker in the appropriate locker room and are expected to provide a combination lock to secure all of their belongings during their physical education period.

Students are allowed 5 minutes to change clothing in the beginning of class and 5 minutes at the end of class.  They will not be allowed in the locker room during other times of the period or at other times during the day.

Students are allowed 15 absences for the year in physical education and 5 for Health/Driver Education.

Students who behave in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or others, or who are disruptive in class, are subject to disciplinary action.

Students are expected to dress appropriately for class. T-shirts with sleeves, shorts, and sweat suits are allowed. Tank tops & cut-offs are not permissible. Please make sure students have sneakers and socks as well. No jewelry is to be worn during class including piercings.  In addition, long hair must be pulled back for class.

Team Rooms will be available from 7:30 am –7:40 am and then again after school. They will be locked during the day and are not to be used during physical education periods.

Grading Policy

Point Distribution Scale –20 points possible

Participation- 6 points
Preparation- 4 points
Skills Testing- 6 points
Written Skills- 4 Points

19-20 = A

18= A-

17= B+

16= B

15= B-

14= C+

13= C

12= C-

11= D+

10= D

9 or less= F
